Timber Decking
This garden area was chosen for decking by client in order to create an open solid platform for barbequeing and entertaining in summer. A solid hardwood deck -Garrapa was selected for its dark aestethic and natural grain.
Hardwood generally is a more solid and durable choice of material than softwood timbers as it is a very flexible and rain resistant timber. An African Native timber it is an excellent timber to craft and with proper maintenance and treatment can last a lifetime.
This installation was mounted on sleeper framework and thus a floating Japanese pagoda effect that is accessible from a single step onto platform. The level was framed with a double panel frame.
The garden now has a safe elevated area for dining seating etc
